Your numbers are way, WAY off. Tesla has sold over 30,000 Model S/X the last 6 months alone, not the "last few years".

But none the less, you missed the point. $60k is just a randon number you threw out. I never said that EVs will reach mainstream acceptance at $60k per car. I said that there is relatively few affordable EVs because automakers can't even meet the demand for high-end EVs.

Until there is a LOT more supply, there isn't any incentive for automakers to make cheaper EVs. So again: our problem is supply, not demand. Cheaper EVs will come, but we need a lot more production capacity first.
